The Highgrove Development Statement Highgrove was designed with objective: to create a warm, friendly neighborhood with the charm and casual elegance of a small Southern town.  To fulfill this theme, design elements were borrowed from small towns built over a century ago.  Sidewalks lead down tree-lined streets to neighborhood parks and amenities.  Picket fences and front walks are placed on many homesites to help extend an inviting welcome to visitors.  Most homes have front porches to encourage interaction with friends and neighbors. The Highgrove architecture reflects simpler times and balances the comfortable traditions of the past with the open and flowing interiors required fro today's active lifestyles.  Builders and homeowners have great input in planning and building their homes as long as the designs preserve the charm and integrity of the overall neighborhood. The enforcement of the architectural guidelines assures the development of a well-conceived and distinctive neighborhood, where families and friends come together and lifelong friends are made. Highgrove's sense of closeness will also be enhanced by a community Intranet, which will keep in touch with neighbors about area "happenings".
